Like many, I didn’t realize that my heart was in need of healing until the moment I experienced true freedom. The pain I carried felt like a part of me, so much so that I didn’t recognize it needed to be addressed. However, once I tasted that freedom, I found myself yearning for more.

For over 20 years, my journey has led me to profound insights through personal experiences, extensive training, and the honor of supporting individuals from all walks of life, including those in some of the most challenging regions of the world. 

At the heart of our pain often lies forgiveness—often of others, but just as crucially, of ourselves. I’ve come to see forgiveness as a guiding light on the journey of heart healing. True forgiveness can only be offered from an authentic place; it requires us to fully process the pain associated with our experiences. It’s impossible to fake forgiveness. Often, we discover that when we need to forgive, something essential has been taken from us—be it our innocence, dignity, opportunities, or relationships. This may stem from recent events or from deep-seated wounds that have lingered for years. Remember, we cannot bury pain alive; it will always find a way to surface.

Many feel hesitant to forgive because they don’t fully understand what forgiveness truly means. In my trauma healing sessions, I’ve witnessed the surprise on participants’ faces as they realized that their perceptions of forgiveness were clouded by misconceptions. Cultural and familial beliefs can also hinder our ability to confront and process pain, leaving us stuck in cycles of hurt.

As mothers, when we prioritize our health and well-being, we offer a priceless gift to our families and communities. We create ripples of positive change, empowering those around us to embark on their own healing journeys.

Marguerite Evans was born and raised in South Africa. Her story is marked by the loss of her father as a young girl, molestation, her parents’ divorce, and battling with a lack of self-worth and anger. Yet through God’s transformational love, she went on to become First Runner Up to Miss Universe South Africa 1997. She has an International Diploma in Fashion and Beauty Makeup. Marguerite has used her fashion background and heart for the brokenhearted in Make-Over Events since 2008, reaching women through the avenue of beauty - beauty from the inside out.

In the year 2000, her life took a new direction when God called her to the Catch The Fire School of Ministry in Toronto, Canada which continued her own journey of healing, and equipping to go to the nations. She was asked to join the school leadership, mentored women ages 18-35, helping and equipping them in their journey, and co-lead international ministry trips. In 2004  Marguerite and her husband moved to the US .
 
Marguerite was the US National Coordinator for the "Soaking Prayer Network" for five years, equipping people to also rest and receive in God's Presence, Psalm 46:10. Countless lives transformed by His love.

Over the last 20 +years she has spoken at events in several nations on five continents, including some of the toughest regions in the world, seeing the brokenhearted healed, and many receiving physical healing through the ultimate price Jesus paid, the Father’s love, and power of the Holy Spirit.

She has raised up several prayer ministry teams and loves traveling with a team, seeing people step out in what God has put in their hearts.

Marguerite was part of the US Delegate team for Lausanne 2010, Cape Town. She co-hosted the CBN Spiritual Gifts Webcast with Gordon Robertson and has been a guest and host on various shows. 

In 2016 Marguerite was certified in Trauma Healing Training through the American Bible Society Trauma Healing Institute. She's equipped leaders in the US and abroad in Trauma Healing. Participants receive for themselves and are equipped to help others. Trauma Healing is one of the biggest mission fields of our time. She serves on the advisory board of the Middle East Women’s Leadership Network to help women leaders create media for their mission.

Today Marguerite directs her international ministry for the brokenhearted and persecuted to see them rise up in who God has called them to be. She has begun equipping leaders, from multiple organizations, who serve in some of the toughest regions in the world. 

In 2015 the Evans’ adopted a 12-year-old boy, in 2018 an 8-year-old girl, both from Thailand and recently brought their 12 year old son home from Vietnam. The Evans family resides in Southern California.
